Articles 73 and 73bis of the Italian copyright law recognise the right of record producers and performing artists to receive compensation for the use, with or without profit, of recorded music, music videos and playback bases through television broadcasting.

Article 72(a) also recognises the exclusive right of record producers to authorise the technical copying necessary for the broadcasting and making available of content to the public.

SCF offers the opportunity to legally use the original recordings of over 400 record labels, allowing you to enrich your television station's schedule with quality music (over 20 million tracks in the catalogue).

By subscribing to the SCF licence, you acquire the right to:

  • Broadcast the national and international music repertoire via digital terrestrial, satellite and simultaneously on the web.
  • Make technical copies of musical recordings so that you can organise and develop your schedule.

To date, over 500 television broadcasters broadcast music in compliance with music copyrights, from national networks to local broadcasters.

The importance of the role of quality music in broadcasters is also recognised by the trade associations Aeranti Corallo and FRT with which SCF collaborates.

To transmit music from the repertoire represented by SCF, it is necessary to subscribe to the appropriate licences by contacting our offices.
